Glass

Glass is an amorphous, or non-crystalline, solid that is frequently transparent and chemically inert. These properties make glass highly versatile, with extensive applications in practical, technological, and decorative fields.

Glass is typically formed by quenching, which involves rapidly cooling its molten form. Additionally, the refractive, reflective, and transmission properties of glass make it ideal for manufacturing optical lenses, prisms, and materials used in optoelectronics.
